Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Lecturer in Human Rights and International Law to join our academic team at the University of Fort Hare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to research and curriculum development in Human Rights and International Law
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Human Rights and International Law
  • Meet research publication requirements for the academic rank of Senior Lecturer
  • Secure external research grants
  • Supervise postgraduate students
  • Establish institutional, regional, or national collaborations
  • Contribute to mentorship of emergent academic staff
  • Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or research
  • Participate in administrative duties at departmental, faculty, and university levels
Requirements
  • A relevant Doctoral Degree
  • At least 3 years of experience in higher education
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in Human Rights or International Law or related areas
  • A record of international and national accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer
  • A record of accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer
  • Postgraduate supervision experience, including successful Masters/Doctoral supervision commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer
