Front Office Host

Village N Life is a leading Tourism and Hospitality company based in the Western Cape.
We are seeking a passionate Front Office Host to oversee daily front office desk operations, ensuring employee productivity, monitoring efficiency of all processes, and creating a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Courteously and accurately answer enquiries from potential guests
- Accept hotel reservations
- Respond to enquiries regarding reservations, hotel information, and guest concerns
- Resolve customer issues, complaints, and problems in a quick and efficient manner
- Allocate rooms to expected arrivals after checking guest preferences and special requests
- Assist all departments in servicing guests, especially during high volume periods
- Adhere to company credit limit and floor limit policies
- Control cash transactions at the front desk and maintain complete responsibility for personal bank
- Analyse customer feedback and provide strategic direction to continually improve overall rating
- Respond to guest needs and anticipate their unstated ones
- Promote all guest amenities, conveniences, and programs offered
- Recommend local tourist spots, including places to dine, shop, and sight-see
Requirements:
- Matric
- Hotel Management Diploma (advantageous)
- Minimum 2 years experience in the same or similar position
- Multi-venue experience advantageous
- Strong OPERA knowledge
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle (advantageous)
