Main Purpose of the Role

At DSV Solutions, our Key Account Managers play a pivotal role in driving business growth and customer satisfaction. We are seeking an experienced Senior Key Account Manager to join our team in the FMCG consumer health sector, based in South Africa, Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of consumer health supply chain logistics and extensive account management experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with key customer contacts.
  2. Serve as a trusted business advisor, service expert, and single point of contact.
  3. Work with the customer, operations, and commercial teams to deliver on business objectives.
  4. Develop, implement, and evaluate business plans to meet and exceed goals.
  5. Drive and represent operational performance improvements.
  6. Interpret data into actionable conclusions and develop meaningful insights for stakeholders.
  7. Translate customer requirements, including forecasts, into actionable plans for operations.
  8. Manage and drive innovation and continuous improvements initiatives.
  9. Manage escalations, including coordination, communications, and follow-through on mitigations.
  10. Track, trend, and report on market trends, opportunities, and risks.
  11. Execute customer satisfaction surveys, draw up action plans, supervise, and complete them.
  12. Conduct and coordinate performance reviews with customers, weekly, monthly, and yearly.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5+ years of experience in the logistics industry, including transport, warehousing, or a combination of both.
  • +5 years of experience in the FMCG industry, particularly in the consumer health sector and SAPHRA regulated environments.
  • +5 years of Key Account Management experience, with a track record of managing senior key accounts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English.
  • Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop strategic solutions to address supply chain challenges and inefficiencies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, supply chain software, and advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align supply chain strategies with overall business goals.
