We are seeking an experienced Loss Adjusting Manager to join our team at Nedbank Insurance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in claims management, risk assessment, and vendor management.
Main Responsibilities- Claims Oversight: Oversee a team of loss adjusters responsible for assessing, auditing, and authorizing claims in terms of allowable rates.
- Risk Detection: Identify fraudulent activities and work closely with Group Forensic services to enhance fraud detection solutions.
- Vendor Support: Provide support to the Procurement division in onboarding and training service providers on policy wording, processes, and rates.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team responsible for conducting contractor audits, authorizations over-mandate, claims adjustments, valuation at risk assessments, contractor rate negotiations, and handling customer complaints.
- Qualifications: Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees in a relevant field.
- Certifications: Construction or Building certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-years' experience in the Short-Term Insurance industry, including 5-years' experience as a Building Assessor or in a Construction related role, and 5-years' experience managing a team of loss adjusters.
