Lumina Personnel is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our client's team in the Durban and Umhlanga area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to take charge of the regional sales strategy and operational activities, driving merchandise sales and supporting our showrooms and sales consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement monthly and weekly sales plans with clear targets for the region.
- Manage and meet sales targets while supporting the showrooms and maintaining high operational standards through the Showroom Manager.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to deliver top-notch customer satisfaction.
- Ensure staff motivation, performance, and development through effective people management.
- Oversee stock management to ensure availability and accuracy.
- Support payment collection processes and manage costs in line with the approved budget.
Minimum Requirements:
- A National Senior Certificate is essential.
- Tertiary qualification in Sales/Marketing or a related field.
- Previous exposure to interior design/decorating is advantageous.
- At least 8 years of sales experience in a wholesale or retail environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of people management experience.
- A driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required.
- Proficient in computer literacy.
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
- A customer service-oriented approach with entrepreneurial thinking.
- Strong business development and problem-solving skills.
- General business acumen and self-motivation are key to success.
This role is 20% office-based and 80% on the road, allowing you to stay engaged with clients and ensure regional success.
