Job Details

This Senior Payroll Administrator role requires a highly skilled and experienced individual who can manage payroll processes, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and provide excellent customer service to employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain payroll records and ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing.
  2. Process payroll transactions, including loading relevant data onto VIP, performing monthly payroll, and reconciling payroll to the general ledger.
  3. Provide detailed explanations of variances and changes from previous months' payruns.
  4. Distribute payslips to employees in paper or mobile format.
  5. Respond to payroll-related queries and provide support to staff members.
Administrative Tasks
  • Maintain complete employee files and ensure all relevant documentation is filed and safeguarded.
  • Handle staff joining and leaving the company, including take-on and resignation processes.
  • Filing of all payroll and employee documentation.
  • Accurate data capturing.
Compliance and Reporting
  • Prepare and submit required reports to SARS, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL reports.
  • Prepare quarterly stats and reports for submission to Stats SA.
  • Anual IRP5's preparation and submission to SARS, as well as IRP5 reconciliation.
  • Bi-Annual submission to SARS, prepare and submit.
Financial Operations
  • Control petty cash and issue vouchers with proper authority.
  • Monthly reconciliation of actual cash on hand to the general ledger.
Requirements
  • Matric / NQF4 Certificate.
  • Relevant diploma / payroll qualification.
  • Valid Driver's Licence – Code 8 unendorsed.
  • Computer Literate: Word and Excel.
  • 5 – 8 years advanced experience on VIP.
  • Pastel Processing / Accounting skills advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of labour and tax legislation.
