The organization seeks a skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Senior Manager: Human Resources.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic human resource advisory and support services to the organization.

About the Role:

This is a 5-year contract position that requires the successful candidate to provide human resource advisory and support services to the organization.

The main responsibility of the Senior Manager: Human Resources is to render an effective and efficient human resource advisory and support function, on both a strategic and operational level.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Human Resource Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting in line with the organization's strategic plan and project business plans.
  • Recruitment, Selection, and Onboarding.
  • Employee Termination Management.
  • Benefit Management (Compensation and Payroll Management).
  • Personnel Records Management.
  • Staff Wellness Management.
  • Human Resource Reporting (Statutory reporting, monthly-, quarterly-, and annual reporting, ad-hoc reporting).
  • Employment Equity Management (Also serve as Employment Equity Manager for the Organization).
  • Policy Review and Development.
  • Industrial and Labour Relations Management.
  • Performance Management.
  • Human Resource Compliance Management, specific to Labour legislation and guides and prescripts relevant to Public Entities.
  • General HR Administration Management.
  • Training and development Management and reporting.

Requirements:

  1. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent level qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field (postgraduate qualification preferred).
  2. At least 8 years of HR experience, with 5+ years in a senior HR management role.
  3. HRM work experience gained within a public sector environment may be advantageous.
  4. Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR best practices, and governance frameworks, particularly in the Public Entity/Public Sector environment.
  5. Proven ability to lead HR transformation and change management.
  6. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in the workplace.
  8. Having good working knowledge and experience of POPIA and PAIA will be a strong advantage.
