The organization seeks a skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Senior Manager: Human Resources.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic human resource advisory and support services to the organization.
About the Role:
This is a 5-year contract position that requires the successful candidate to provide human resource advisory and support services to the organization.
The main responsibility of the Senior Manager: Human Resources is to render an effective and efficient human resource advisory and support function, on both a strategic and operational level.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Human Resource Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting in line with the organization's strategic plan and project business plans.
- Recruitment, Selection, and Onboarding.
- Employee Termination Management.
- Benefit Management (Compensation and Payroll Management).
- Personnel Records Management.
- Staff Wellness Management.
- Human Resource Reporting (Statutory reporting, monthly-, quarterly-, and annual reporting, ad-hoc reporting).
- Employment Equity Management (Also serve as Employment Equity Manager for the Organization).
- Policy Review and Development.
- Industrial and Labour Relations Management.
- Performance Management.
- Human Resource Compliance Management, specific to Labour legislation and guides and prescripts relevant to Public Entities.
- General HR Administration Management.
- Training and development Management and reporting.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent level qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field (postgraduate qualification preferred).
- At least 8 years of HR experience, with 5+ years in a senior HR management role.
- HRM work experience gained within a public sector environment may be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR best practices, and governance frameworks, particularly in the Public Entity/Public Sector environment.
- Proven ability to lead HR transformation and change management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in the workplace.
- Having good working knowledge and experience of POPIA and PAIA will be a strong advantage.
