About the Role

Are you a detail-oriented professional looking to excel in payroll administration? We're seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team at Kencorp.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payrolls, collaborating with HR, and maintaining data integrity. A strong understanding of SBCPP payroll software and accounting principles is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the HR department to load payroll information onto our system and verify employee details.
  • Payroll Processing: Process team members' and managers' payrolls within set deadlines, ensuring supporting documentation and approval are in place.
  • New Employee Onboarding: Verify and process new hires as per our HR team's input.
  • Data Maintenance: Update existing employee information, including banking details and changes in employment status.
  • Special Cases: Handle one-off changes, such as pay-rate increases, and prepare monthly payroll reports.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Complete necessary UIF forms and maintain accurate records, ensuring ongoing compliance.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF 4 Certificate).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with SBCPP payroll software and Microsoft Office (Excel) is required.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Accurate data entry and numeracy skills.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Payroll Certificate and/or accounting exposure.
About Our Offer

We offer a competitive salary of approximately R450,000 - R550,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
