About the Role
Havas Media South Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Account Director to join our team. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for building and executing Media Experience (Mx) strategies for our clients across various channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Mx plans that align with client objectives and industry trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to activate Mx campaigns across multiple channels.
- Manage and negotiate with media partners to secure optimal placements and pricing.
- Supervise the execution of campaigns to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance to inform future strategy and optimization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to drive innovation and growth.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in media planning and buying, preferably in a media agency or trading desk environment.
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or Advertising.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Strong understanding of media planning and buying principles, including programmatic and data-driven strategies.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with planning tools, operational performance management tools, and business intelligence software.
- Knowledge of advertising technologies and servers.
- Certifications in media planning and buying, such as the Media Planning and Buying Certification (MPBC).
