Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Specialist to join our Imaging Division in Johannesburg. As a senior position, you will be responsible for growing the company in the division and managing all supporting resources to ensure sales of the product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure relevant machines are introduced to the right audience through demonstrations and promoting the benefits of the machine.
  • Create and maintain relationships by providing support, information, and guidance, as well as promoting the equipment to high-level professionals.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the Ultrasound product range and services provided, including the competition and our unique selling points.
  • Responsible for the sales of the Ultrasound products, including maintaining and growing existing business and expanding sales within the assigned territory.
  • Coach, train, and develop sales team to achieve their goals, including support during trials, co-traveling with sales staff, after-sale product training, and follow-up visits to customers.
  • Demonstrate and train clinical personnel, support customers, as well as technical staff on the working of the equipment.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and exhibitions as required, promoting Ultrasound products and services.
  • General administration associated with the position.

Requirements:

  • A Grade 12 certificate as a minimum requirement.
  • Relevant diploma/degree in Ultrasound or Radiography.
  • South African Citizen.
  • Own vehicle and valid driver's license.
  • Ultrasound/Sonography background highly recommended.
  • Ability to operate the equipment professionally and to train effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Client-oriented.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers.
  • Product knowledge.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Customer Service, Assisting with Sales Goals, Territory Management, Prospecting Skills, Self-Confidence, Product Knowledge, Client Relationships.
  • Proven track record.

  • Willing to work after hours and weekends to accommodate shift staff and problems that may arise.
  • Previous Sales/Applications experience would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a similar position in the Medical industry would be an advantage.
