Key Accounts Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Key Account Sales professional to join our team at Empire Recruitment. As a Key Account Sales professional, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and ranking existing and new customers in your area to meet or exceed sales goals and performance quotas.
Key Responsibilities:
\u2022 Sales:
\t\u2022 Identify and develop long-term relationships with customers based on confidence and trust.
\t\u2022 Set up and maintain a medium and short-term customer call plan to generate ongoing inquiries for our value propositions.
\t\u2022 Execute call plans, ensuring existing customers are actively serviced and new opportunities and sales leads are properly followed up.
\t\u2022 Identify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, etc.
\t\u2022 Monitor sales performance to ensure sales targets and margins are achieved.
\t\u2022 Prepare and maintain product presentations (MS Power Point, etc.).
\t\u2022 Attend marketing and sales functions as required.
\t\u2022 Manage communications between key customers and internal teams.
\t\u2022 Resolve key customer issues and complaints.
\t\u2022 Carry out after-hour on-call duties in terms of the Division's 24-hour service program.
Technical:
\t\u2022 Understand power transmission formulae and use it as a tool for selecting relevant equipment.
\t\u2022 Acquire in-depth knowledge of the company's products, use of its catalogues, and criteria for product and solution selections.
\t\u2022 Acquire knowledge of applications and their impact on equipment selection.
\t\u2022 Carry out site meetings to evaluate applications and solve operating problems.
\t\u2022 Carry out necessary calculations for sizing, recommendation, and selection of equipment.
\t\u2022 Carry out on-call duties in respect of after-hours backup and breakdowns.
Requirements:
\t\u2022 5-10 years sales experience in the industry or similar experience.
\t\u2022 Familiarity with CRM packages.
\t\u2022 Good MS Office skills, especially Excel.
\t\u2022 Experience in project management will be an advantage.
\t\u2022 Qualification in Mechanical engineering will be an advantage.
