About Salesworx

Salesworx is a leading manufacturer and supplier of tableware to the hospitality industry in North America, Europe, and Africa. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager to lead and drive our sales efforts to achieve our revenue and growth objectives for Gauteng.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to increase market share within the hospitality industry.
    • Identify new business opportunities and channels for growth, particularly focusing on expanding our company's footprint in the local market.
    • Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring that the team meets or exceeds them.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a small sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
    • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills of the sales team.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients within the hospitality industry and industry distributors.
    • Oversee the management of customer accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Resolve escalated customer issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
    • Analyze sales data and financial metrics to make informed decisions and adjustments to strategies.
    • Work closely with the finance department/CEO to monitor pricing, profitability, and margin control.
  • Market Analysis and Reporting:
    • Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, competitors, and potential areas for growth.
    • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and analyses to senior management.
    • Stay updated on industry developments and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with the production and operations teams to ensure that sales commitments are aligned with production capabilities.
    • Work with the marketing department to develop campaigns and promotions that support sales efforts.
    • Engage with the product development team to provide market feedback and suggest product improvements.
    Requirements
    • Education:
      • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 7-10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably within the hospitality supply chain/manufacturing or a related industry.
    • Skills:
      • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and growing market share.
      • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a small team.
      • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
      • High level of business acumen with a strong understanding of financial management principles.
      • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
