Regional Head Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Regional Head to lead our CRM Inland and Coastal operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for strategizing and implementing plans to proactively manage credit risk for Personal and Private Core Banking.

- Design, review, and implement tactical plans to achieve budget and financial targets
- Lead and manage a team of professionals
- Foster a positive workplace culture and engagement
- Monitor and manage staff well-being
- Ensure effective communication and alignment across the team
- Upskill, coach, and transfer skills to develop team members
- Drive innovation and find smarter business solutions
- Manage change and lead capacity planning and resource management
- Coordinate and submit quarterly and half-yearly incentive winners
- Visit regional offices monthly to align and engage
- Hold monthly performance discussions and quarterly review of staff scorecards
- Represent the team in half-yearly performance calibration sessions and annual ARR review
- Lead operational efficiencies to ensure continuous improvement
- Manage customer experience through quality interactions
- Manage complaints turnaround time and regional office input to the centralized complaints team
- Enable client-centric conversations and close collaboration with CRM Early Warning Risk
- Retain main-banked customers
- Log risk events with Risk and Compliance
- Manage disciplinary actions for process failures leading to operational losses above R10k
- Review and approve policies and PRCIA
- Conduct process reviews to minimize risk
- Review business continuity policy and emergency contacts
- Chair EHS committee meetings and ensure Health and Safety team member appointments are current
- Collaborate with Analytics and BI to run the business with relevant insights and tracking
- Regularly review Nimbus processes to ensure relevance and accuracy aligned to PRCIA and Credit and Collections Policy and Strategy
- Improve customer experience and optimize productivity
- Optimize costs through work item management
- Load ownership of work items relevant to the area and reduce unit rates
- Manage platform build and system development
- Identify and manage risk and compliance
- Manage audit and implement mitigating controls and remediation actions
- Track and report Key Performance Indicators
- Analyze performance trends and manage operations to change results
- Drive performance results for overdraft and fusion linked credit and non-borrowing on DDAs
- Collaborate with Collections and Support to ensure alignment and performance
- Manage stakeholder relationships and represent the team in various meetings

- Approve write-offs within mandate
- Review renewals weekly
- Manage wealth referrals and risk elevation requests
- Sign and check EOS reports
- Approve leave programs and ensure contingencies are 100%
- Approve wealth migrations on SO&P
- Review ad-hoc exercises
- Review document processes and wordings for approval
- Select and submit incentive scheme winners
- Review GL recons
- Respond to email requests
- Attend to staff account access mails
