Metso Business Development Professional

Metso is a leading industry player, dedicated to sustainable natural resource management. We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Sales Team in Centurion, Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering long-term relationships with key decision-makers at customer sites and promoting Metso's value-added offerings.
Job Responsibilities:- Deliver improved customer satisfaction levels through proactive support and optimization of their plants.
- Collaborate with customers to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions that drive profitable business growth from allocated sites.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at customer sites, sharing leads and coordinating interfaces.
- Conduct site visits, generate leads, and work with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets.
- Promote after-market business while identifying capex opportunities and conveying customer requirements to capex sales.
- Maintain visibility into Metso functions at each site, seek best resources, and coordinate customer-facing activities.
- Understand customer business needs and argue the value proposition of Metso's offerings.
- Drive site sales activities, account planning, and implementation (strategy, relationship, site-level budgeting, activity plan, sales roadmap, and plan).
- Ensure continuous improvement through surveys, closed-loop activities, and information sharing on installed base performance and shutdown schedules.
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng/BSc)
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in concentrator plants or sales/account management
- Experience working in fast-paced professional environments and customer-focused settings
- Proficiency in Sales Force, Microsoft Office, Power BI, and PowerPoint
- Strong negotiation, influencing, communication, and leadership skills
R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate includes a salary range based on industry standards and the location of the role.
