Regional Sales Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Manager to join our team at Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our Tied Financial Advisory Services strategy and driving growth in our distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Direction
- Develop and communicate the actions needed to implement our strategy and business plan, ensuring alignment with our organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Functional Strategy Formation & Implementation
- Develop tactical plans to optimize resources and assets, delivering on our Tied Financial Advisory Services strategy and meeting business growth requirements.
- Business Planning
- Develop and propose annual business plans, ensuring alignment with our strategy and meeting growth objectives in all distribution channels.
- Stakeholder Engagement (Internal and External)
- Identify and manage stakeholders, developing stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions.
- Promoting Customer Focus
- Manage and monitor exceptional customer service across our distribution channels.
- Organizational Capability Building
- Evaluate individual capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities, implementing our formal development frameworks.
- Compliance
- Accountable for planning, monitoring, and controlling risk and governance in our distribution channels, driving good governance principles and legislative compliance.
- Performance Management
- Manage and report on performance, setting objectives for direct reports and holding them accountable for achieving annual business objectives.
- Personal Capability Building
- Maintain external accreditations, in-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies, and industry best practices through continuing professional development.
- Sales Management
- Sell complex products and services to significant customers, managing a significant sales department.
- Education
- Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential); FAIS accredited NQF5 (120 credits) (Essential); KI Regulatory Examination (Essential); Full product holding accreditation (Essential); CFP (Advantageous); Business Related Degree (Advantageous) Management and/or coaching qualification (Advantageous)
- Experience
- 8 or more years' experience managing a sales-driven team or multi-teams in the financial sector (Essential); Experience within life and wealth long-term insurance industry (Essential); Previous Tied Agent Experience (Advantageous)
- SAQA Accredited Equivalent - it is the onus of the applicant to provide the company and its subsidiaries with certified evidence that their qualification(s) meet the equivalent NQF level required for this role at time of application. *Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) competency requirements: FAIS recognised qualifications / Regulatory Examinations / Class of Business Certification and / or CPD according to your DOFA (where applicable).
