Job Title: Sales & Operations Business Controller

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales & Operations Business Controller to join our team at Black Pen Recruitment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, leveraging your skills and expertise to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, including gross profit analysis and job costing.
  • Create and process customer quotes, manage customer invoicing, and oversee sales related to African markets.
  • Liaise with customers for order updates, deliveries, and issue resolution.
  • Conduct month-end sales reconciliations for related parties and manage imports, exports, freight, and logistics.
  • Develop and implement inventory management systems using Sage One.
  • Handle all aspects of stock management, including stock item processing, replenishment, monthly stock takes, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and customer back-order reports and process supplier invoices, customer invoices, and purchase orders on Sage One.
  • Conduct job card costing and analysis to monitor project costs and profitability.
  • Manage month-end reconciliations and financial analysis to support business operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on sales, operations, and logistics.
  • Proficiency in Sage One and Power BI is required.
  • Experience with imports, exports, and freight logistics.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of gross profit analysis and job costing.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately once every 6 months).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of R550,000 - R650,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits. The ideal candidate will be based in Cape Town and will have opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.
