Job Overview

This role is responsible for performing unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance and/or operational activities in building streets, parks, or in assigned area of responsibility. Key responsibilities include maintaining grounds and facilities, performing routine custodial maintenance, operating motorized vehicles and equipment, and entering data; preparing logs and records.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manual labor, landscape maintenance, or a related field. A high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license with a good driving record are required. Commercial Driver's License Class B (Preferred) with airbrakes and tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of hire is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining grounds and facilities
  • Performing routine custodial maintenance
  • Operating motorized vehicles and equipment
  • Entering data; preparing logs and records
Working Conditions:

This role requires heavy physical work requiring ability to lift a maximum of 100 pounds with or without assistance. The job involves frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds, considerable walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, regular pushing, pulling, and bending. Hand/eye and foot/eye coordination to operate mowing and other motorized equipment is also required.
