We are a leading FMCG business headquartered in Zambia, with a strategic presence across the African continent.

About the Role

We are seeking a General Manager who will be directly responsible for developing and executing the internal Sales strategies necessary to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business operations and revenue growth strategies for Zambia and regional markets, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate and implement performance indicators for each function to plug revenue/cost leakages and improve efficiency.
  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership and guidance to senior management team members and deliver solutions to complex problems.
  • Coordinate and manage all day-to-day business operations and administrative decisions for the organization.
  • Support Directors with strategic inputs on business growth and help define and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Execute the strategic plan for the organization and have ongoing strategic conversations and collaboration with Directors.
  • Oversee annual business volumes planning and work with the Board in planning and formulating long-term goals.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports to the Board on agency performance and yield input from them when compiling information.
  • Ensure all programs and departments meet short-term and long-term plans and budgets based on defined business goals and growth objectives.
Requirements
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or a closely related field.
  • 15+ years or equivalent experience in biscuits/bakery/FMCG/beverage work experience, directly involved with operations, business development, finance, or related areas.
  • Min 3 years of Africa/international work experience required.
