Key Responsibilities

  • Manage sales objectives and operational efficiencies to drive business growth
  • Oversee stock management, including customer and visual display stock, to ensure optimal inventory levels
  • Ensure all in-store communication is accurate and effective, including communication with category specialists
  • Manage cash handling and security procedures to prevent losses
  • Develop and implement monthly promotions and displays to drive sales
  • Manage the well-being of staff and ensure a safe working environment
  • Train and develop category specialists to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, including monthly intake and NSV targets
  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience is consistently delivered
  • Manage stockroom operations, including minimizing GRs and cancellations
  • Oversee housekeeping and maintenance of the showroom
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales and Marketing
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a retail management role, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in leading a team in a sales-driven environment
  • Experience working in the homewares retail industry is highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage stress effectively
  • Adaptable and flexible, with a strong work ethic
