We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic culinary leader to manage our kitchen operations at Ngala Safari Lodge. The ideal candidate must possess excellent leadership and management skills, with a strong background in culinary arts and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train a team of chefs to deliver exceptional food service to our guests.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menus, recipes, and kitchen standards.
  • Ensure seamless kitchen operations, including inventory management, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of ingredients.
  • Train and motivate kitchen staff to meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the lodge management team to ensure alignment with business objectives and standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior culinary leadership role in a high-end hospitality setting.
  • Formal culinary training and certification.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional food service.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, including inventory management, food safety, and customer service.
