The Customer Development Manager is a key position within Colgate-Palmolive Company, responsible for driving sales growth and excellence in the customer development space. This role requires a strong understanding of the FMCG industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development and Monitoring
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders to drive sales growth and excellence.
- Conduct negotiations with customers to secure listings, planograms, displays, and promotion execution.
- Monitor sales and distribution performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Work with customer service to track orders, troubleshoot, and achieve customer service KPIs.
- Collaborate with logistics to plan, analyze, and forecast customer needs, ensuring timely and complete delivery.
- In-Store Personnel Management
- Regularly visit stores to identify areas for improvement and provide coaching and feedback to in-store staff.
- Monitor performance vs. objectives, providing continuous coaching and feedback, and conducting appraisals based on data.
- Review field sales and merchandiser itineraries to ensure efficient deployment of resources.
- Develop and implement training plans to ensure in-store staff are trained and updated on new products, promotions, and merchandising objectives.
- Supervise the collection of data to monitor 5P performance vs. target and ensure in-store compliance with objectives and targets.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG customer account management.
