Customer Engagement Representative

Key Responsibilities: Staff Self-Management
- Support fellow sales team members with quotations.
- Assist in finalizing sales agreements.
- Guide customers on pump applications, selections, projects, and sales processes.
- Conduct daily outreach to a designated list of customers to solicit orders and maintain an updated order book.
- Develop and maintain a customer database, directing inquiries to appropriate sales representatives.
Key Responsibilities: Internal Sales
- Contribute to budget management and ensure sales targets are achieved.
- Respond to incoming calls and convert inquiries into sales opportunities.
- Address and resolve customer complaints effectively.
- Implement a systematic approach to capture sales inquiries and orders in a counter book, monitoring all relevant information.
- Provide quotations via phone and email.
- Process sales orders using Syspro.
- Source inventory (both standard and custom) from approved suppliers.
- Monitor outstanding back orders daily and authorize invoices for delivery.
- Expedite sales orders to ensure timely deliveries.
- Perform general office duties as required.
- Update customer discount structures in Syspro.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse/Dispatch Manager regarding delivery schedules.
- Participate in necessary meetings.
- Coordinate with external sales personnel.
- Accompany external team members on customer visits as needed.
- Provide leads to the external sales team.
- For quotes exceeding R20,000, consult with management.
- Follow up on all quotes and share copies with the external representative.
- Coordinate orders with the designated external representative.
- Maintain low credit levels and adhere to the credit procedure.
- Assist with inventory counts.
- Possess extensive knowledge of pumps, including applications, selections, and technical specifications.
- Syspro expertise is essential.
You will also be expected to undertake any additional tasks assigned by your managers.
