Key Responsibilities:
- Manage key accounts and smaller accounts in Gauteng region.
- Work closely with customer service to ensure timely submission of quotes.
- Update sales quote tracker and big awarded tender list for feedback at monthly sales meeting.
- Conduct daily visits to key customers and clients, projects, engineers, and office.
- IDentify and exploit new market opportunities and products.
- Motivate resource allocations for new opportunities.
- Develop effective relationships with new and current Key Account Customers.
- Monitor competitor activity proactively.
- Present professional commercial proposals to all customers.
- Effectively manage customer requirements and complaints.
- Communicate regularly with Manager regarding sales status.
- Ensure effective stock management to minimize obsolescence costs.
Technical Skills:
- Attend engineering conferences to build network.
- Participate in technical meetings with Engineering Consultants.
- Prepare and present presentations at engineering consultants and big contractors.
- Conduct research and write reports for abstract submissions.
- Schedule follow-up meetings with consultants to get products specified.
- Provide product training for major customers (re-sellers).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Environmental Science.
- Have 3-5 years proven work experience in a similar environment.
- Have a strong knowledge of geosynthetics and its applications advantageous.
- Establish an established client network within civil engineering industry.
