New Business Development Manager
RS Recruitment Services is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities in the retail hardware industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a regional team to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Evaluate prospective sites for new store locations
- Presentation of selected sites to the Regional Committee for approval
- Finalize lease agreements and secure sites for development
- Interview and evaluate prospective retailers
- Oversight of the sale of existing stores
- Develop a growth strategy to drive business growth
- Provide leadership to retailers in new business development
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements
Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate (Matric), pre-requisite
- Relevant business-related tertiary qualification
- Minimum 5 years experience in the FMCG retail industry
- Experience in the building/hardware industry, an advantage
- Minimum 5 years experience in the property business
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of local property and retail development market
- Firm understanding of financial statements, particularly cash flow statements and financing options
- Ability to undertake and interpret financial feasibility studies
- Strong negotiating skills
- Thorough knowledge of leasing and contracts
- Ability to interpret demographic data
Remuneration:
Basic R45k + car allowance R21k + medical aid and provident fund benefits
