New Business Development Manager

RS Recruitment Services is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities in the retail hardware industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a regional team to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Evaluate prospective sites for new store locations
  • Presentation of selected sites to the Regional Committee for approval
  • Finalize lease agreements and secure sites for development
  • Interview and evaluate prospective retailers
  • Oversight of the sale of existing stores
  • Develop a growth strategy to drive business growth
  • Provide leadership to retailers in new business development
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements

Requirements:

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric), pre-requisite
  • Relevant business-related tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the FMCG retail industry
  • Experience in the building/hardware industry, an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the property business
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of local property and retail development market
  • Firm understanding of financial statements, particularly cash flow statements and financing options
  • Ability to undertake and interpret financial feasibility studies
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Thorough knowledge of leasing and contracts
  • Ability to interpret demographic data

Remuneration:

Basic R45k + car allowance R21k + medical aid and provident fund benefits
