We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Frank Consult in the Stellenbosch Office. This role will involve coordinating logistics solutions for our agricultural sector clients, ensuring seamless transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain established administrative procedures to ensure efficient logistics operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current transporters, clients, and truck drivers to facilitate smooth communication and cargo delivery.
  • Diligently follow up with trucks to determine accurate Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and keep clients informed about cargo status.
  • Effective communication is crucial in building strong relationships with clients and keeping them updated on cargo status.
  • Buildeven stronger relationships with loading and off-loading points, identifying key role players, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Conduct weekly planning and forecasting of truck movements to optimize logistics operations.
  • Support drivers at loading and off-loading points, ensuring a hassle-free experience for all parties involved.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a logistics role, preferably in the agricultural sector.
  • Relevant degree or certification may be advantageous.
  • Strong administrative skills, ability to work in a team context, and excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a solid understanding of the transport market.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Preparedness to handle cell phone queries and problem-solving outside regular office hours.
  • Solid negotiation skills to secure optimal logistics solutions.
