Our client, The Legends Agency, is seeking a highly skilled Luxury Culinary Operations Manager to join their vibrant team in Knysna.

Salary: R 19 000 - R 26 000 pm

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences that align with our luxury standards. As a key member of the culinary team, you will assist in managing kitchen operations, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring that every dish meets high standards of quality, presentation, and flavor.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Executive Chef in menu planning, maintaining high levels of food safety and hygiene, and ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations;
  • Developing and implementing creative culinary solutions to meet the demands of fine dining and luxury hospitality;
  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality ingredients;
  • Collaborating with the Executive Chef to develop and maintain a positive work environment, fostering teamwork, and promoting a culture of excellence;
  • Recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing culinary team, focusing on leadership, organization, and creative skills;
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and improvement;

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality, preferably in a senior leadership role;
  • A culinary degree or equivalent qualification, demonstrating expertise in menu development and food quality control;
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and creative culinary skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and clients;
  • An understanding of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment;
  • Adaptability, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively;
