Job Summary:

Nelson Mandela University (NMU) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remuneration and Benefits Administrator to join our Human Resources team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administration services to the remuneration and benefits section.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer benefits-related matters in accordance with legislation, conduct standards, policies, and fund rules.
  • Process risk benefit claims from application to outcome stage in a timely manner.
  • Manage remuneration-related administration, including post structure maintenance, budgets, payroll, and overtime processing.
  • Provide general administrative support, including filing, gathering information, preparing reports, and supporting office projects.
  • Create employee awareness on remuneration-related matters and benefits offered by NMU.
  • Liaise with internal and external service providers to ensure streamlined and effective claims management and query resolution.
  • Manage central mailboxes and provide first-time resolution to queries within agreed turnaround times.

Requirements:

  • Matric qualification.
  • Qualification in Human Resources or Finance is advantageous.
  • 2-5 years' experience in a relevant field, with appropriate competence gained.
  • Experience in the Retirement Fund or Insurance industry is advantageous.
  • Valid Code EB Drivers' License is advantageous.
