Farming and Feedlot Admin Assistant

This is a fixed-term contract position for 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance, including feed usage reconciliation, feed stock reconciliation, credit card reconciliation, and capturing and reconciling delivery notes for feed and medicine.
  • Mortality Records: Maintain up-to-date mortality records and analyze the data.
  • Availability of Checklists: Ensure the availability of OHS and other general checklists and templates.
  • Filing and Data Capturing: Perform filing tasks, capture general data, and take weekly meeting minutes.
  • HR Functions: Submit bi-weekly wages, load personnel leave on Sage, and assist with HR duties as needed.
  • Medicine Management: Conduct weekly medicine stock takes, receive deliveries, and order stock as needed.
  • Feedlot Repairs and Maintenance: Obtain quotes for feedlot-related repairs and maintenance.
  • DigiStar Feeding Program: Maintain the program, including pen data, feed rations, feeding schedules, and feed ingredients.
  • Office Management: Assist in keeping the office tidy, oversee cleaning, and ensure the availability of general office supplies.
  • Guest Reception: Receive guests and assist with meeting preparations.
  • Weekend Availability: Be available to work weekends.
Feed Store Responsibilities:
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control of raw materials in the feed store and perform monthly sample analysis.
PPE Coordination:
  • PPE Ordering: Coordinate the ordering and delivery of necessary PPE.
General SHEQ Compliance:
  • Departmental Reports: Prepare and disseminate departmental reports for management review and others, including injury reports for feeders.
