Job Description

A career-defining opportunity has emerged for a skilled Brand Development Specialist to join our esteemed Prestige Cosmetic Group in Cape Town. As a key member of our Marketing team, you will be instrumental in driving brand growth and image in South Africa through strategic marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the brand's image and integrity in South Africa, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Liaise with the brand team to understand marketing goals and provide support as required.
  • Present innovative marketing and branding ideas to the team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal, brand, and process requirements.
  • Support the Marketing Manager on brand-specific tasks, including developing processes and providing market insights.
Sales Performance:
  • Regularly review business performance to identify challenges and opportunities.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels to meet brand and organizational requirements.
  • Report on brand performance monthly, including sales, retailer performance, SKU performance, PR, and new launches.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure full support of the brand in the market.
  • Work with stakeholders to maximize exposure for the brand.
Budget and Financial Responsibilities:
  • Allocate resources to ensure specified budgets and ROI requirements are met.
Leadership and Culture:
  • Manage personal development through regular feedback and training requests.
  • Adhere to company values and participate in culture initiatives.
  • Take responsibility for departmental issues and work collaboratively with the team.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Business/Marketing degree.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • At least 2 years brand/marketing experience.
  • Cosmetics industry experience in the luxury sector is advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of brand management and marketing concepts, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive self-motivated attitude. We offer a competitive salary of R400,000 - R500,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
