Job Title: Commercial Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Manager to join our team at Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of our projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all commercial aspects of multiple projects concurrently, ensuring compliance with FIDIC contract terms and conditions.
  • Lead and oversee the commercial team, providing guidance and support as necessary.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize project profitability.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow projections.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favorable terms and agreements.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management.
  • Collaborate closely with the project management team to ensure commercial goals align with project objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum 17 years of progressive experience in commercial management within the construction industry.
  • Previous experience working with a main civil contractor is essential.
  • Solid background in civil construction projects, including buildings, residential, and mixed-use developments.
  • Expertise in FIDIC contracts, with a comprehensive understanding of contract administration and claims management.
