About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Facilities Operations team as a Maintenance Technician Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee maintenance activities, including planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including internal customers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including report writing, data entry, and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

Grade 12, Code B driver's licence, Basic Technical Assistant Training (Mediclinic) or any other related technical training.

Desirable Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years' experience in general building maintenance, with 1 year experience in a supervisory or leadership role.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Valid drivers licence.
  • Experience in fault finding/analysis and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • General experience in building maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
