Job Description

CHEP is a global leader in the supply chain and logistics industry, with a presence in over 55 countries and a team of 11,000 employees. As an Area Administrator, you will play a critical role in driving inventory controls and compliance throughout the region, ensuring accurate data processing at CHEP service centers and on customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate stock variances and take corrective action to ensure compliance through administrative processes and minimize stock loss.
  • Ensure standardized processes are followed at all service centers and identify and report on hire stock discrepancies, as well as on raw materials and trading stock.
  • Report on all expenditure for up to 20 plants and coordinate facilities management activities in the area.
  • Provide guidance on all stock control, purchase to pay processes, and administrative requirements at plant level.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business Administration or Supply Chain.
  • 3 years general administrative experience, with experience in stock control and system processes in a highly pressurized environment.
  • 3 years SAP experience.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, BW, Siebel, Basware, Coupa, MPS, FDE/ESP [COLT2020].
  • Ability to simplify processes.
  • Personal – Team player, accurate, reliable, proactive, self-starter, work under pressure, ability to deal with numerous activities simultaneously, numerical, good communication skills, patience, eye for detail, and action-oriented.
Working Conditions
  • Working under pressure – conflicting deadlines.
  • Working autonomously and having limited direct access to immediate manager.
  • Knowledge of ABC metrics and analysis thereof.
  • Dealing with multiple service centers and product groups – complexity of CHEP/Weatherboard businesses.
  • Control of numerous materials and variance resolution.
