Senior IT Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Administrator to join our team at Kerry Kopp Recruitment. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and supporting our local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems.
Key Responsibilities- Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement robust and secure network infrastructure to meet the needs of our organization.
- System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and optimal performance for all system users.
- Hardware and Software Support: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex hardware and software systems.
- User Account Management: Manage and secure user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Ensure the integrity and security of our company's data through robust backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors and support technicians to resolve critical infrastructure issues.
- Documentation and Training: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive operational documentation, policies, and procedures. Train and mentor junior IT staff on new technologies and provide advanced support for IT-related issues.
- Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and management of strategic technology projects within the organization.
- Professional Development: Stay ahead of the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices in IT administration.
- Travel: Travel to remote sites to set up, test, and maintain IT infrastructure as needed.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an IT Administrator or in a similar senior role.
- Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of networking, including advanced LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, and VPN.
- Driver's License: Code 8 driver's license required, with a willingness to travel to remote sites.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, Cisco Certified Network Professional) are highly advantageous.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing and mentoring junior IT staff.
