The Sales Co-ordinator’s core focus it to support the work of the Sales Managers - to facilitate site inspections from international Travel Agents and Tour Operators, Journalists and Influencers. This vital position in our Head Office team requires strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication and relationship building at the highest level, all in order to ensure that we exceed our purpose, which is _“To give our guests a complete experience and a perfect stay.”_
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Handle any agent bookings, liaising with Sales, Reservations and the properties, to ensure a successful site inspection, including any special requests and activities.
- Co-ordinate sales trips, from flights to visas, accommodation, event entry, documentation, gifting, meeting requests, confirmations, etc.
- Assist the team with any presentations or documentation needed for quoting, campaigns, promotions, client visits, etc.
- Pull reviews from Trip Advisor, Dineplan and other online sources weekly and disseminate to management.
- Keep up to date with services offered within The Royal Portfolio’s properties.
- Continuously undertake market research on the industry.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients effectively.
- Manage head office main switchboard line.
REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS
- At least 2 years’ experience in a Reservations or Front Office role in a luxury hotel or lodge environment or head office
- Previous experience in OPERA (Property Management System) essential
- Exceptional written and verbal communication in English
- Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- A good understanding of luxury brands
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Positive attitude and highly responsive
- Team player
South African citizenship is advantageous. A valid work permit is essential if you are not in possession of a South African ID document.
