Business Development Associate

Acting on behalf of our partner, your focus is to identify, prospect, acquire and onboard new merchants that transact greater than R100k per month using our partner as their primary card machine service, providing them an in person experience with superior customer service.
- You will be identifying new business opportunities within a defined territory, working to increase the market share and adoption of a diverse product suite
- You are a skilled salesperson, seeking a long term career in sales.
- You have experience in cold calling, identifying decision makers within businesses and engaging in business conversations, matching customer needs to our partner’s value proposition and products.
- You have an understanding of the merchant journey in payment services, and can converse in technical and operational conversations with merchants.
- You are able to demonstrate value and differentiate against competitor offerings with a good technical understanding of the products and services.
- You have a proven track record of at least 4 years sales experience in either software and point of sale with a proven track record of sustained performance.
- Able to build trust with a prospect base and continuously follow up with merchants, providing feedback and support.
- Minimum qualification - Matric (diploma/degree added benefit)
- Sales experience (min 4 years) selling software and point of sales
- You have a valid driver's license, own vehicle and smartphone
- You are PC literate across multiple software packages
The package includes:
- OTE of R25 000 - R30 000
- Good basic salary, enhanced for first 4 months with a “soft landing”
- Petrol and cellphone allowance
- Group cover and medical insurance
**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R30,000.00 per month
