Co-head of Operations

Purpose of job:
Co
- Head all Operational aspects of the Analytics Business within RisCura
- To work closely with the Head of the Analytics Business to ensure that the strategic vision and operational ability is aligned to achieve overall business objectives as well as new business initiatives.
- Manage key client relationships with professionalism and rigour regarding operational matters.
- Management of the reporting process, and ensuring the daily, monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables of the client’s reports are on time and accurate.
- Solid understanding of Portfolio Risk and Performance attributions calculations and familiar with Global Performance and Classifications systems.
- Good working knowledge of system development and know-how of the process in managing the work flow of the analysts with that of the capabilities of the sysytem in-house and external.
- Implementation and onboarding of new clients or services, to be able to assist in prioritising workflow and to liase with the Business Development team and analysts in this process.
- To be able to communicate and lead discussions with our key clients internally and externally inmatters concerning key service deliverbales, grievamces and service enhancements.
To be part of and prepare and compile towards Quarterly Board Meetings and strategic packs

- Able to handle large quantities of data.
- Knowledge of concepts relating to portfolio risk and performance
- Knowledge of key asset classes like equities, Fixed Income
- Knowledge of Derivative structures particularly Futures and Option strategies.
- Interprets and analyses data.
- Thinks in a structured way and can document processes.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Advanced Excel would be beneficial.
- Liaising with Asset Managers, Asset Owners and Trustees, Risk Managers at HF MANCOS, Administrators. JSE
- Quick learner.
- Attention to detail.
- Understands Regulations in particular Reg 28, BN52 and BN90
- Communicates clearly and politely, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work independently but also be a team player.
- Use initiative, be pro-active and with problem solving abilities.
- Willing to put in long hours when needed.
- Safeguarding integrity of sensitive client data.
- Working under strict deadlines
- Monthly/daily tasks or Key competencies, Skills and Attributes:
Ensuring that daily and monthly reports are delivered on time and accurately and monitor progress across reporting deliverables.
- Ensuring that any interruptions in workflow is managed accordingly and addressed in an appropriate fashion.
- Attending weekly MANCOS and acting as rotating chair
- Ensure that monthly tasks like error logs and other monthly deliverbales that are compiled by Senior Analysts are delivered accurately and timeously.
- Feedback to monthly key clients on key deliverbale statistics and error logs and improvements.
- Quarterly and financial year end budget reporting
- hoc queries / reports especially around RFPs.
- Quarterly feedback with RisCura Corporate Services for Operational updates.
- Capturing of exception reports and following up queries with Asset Managers and Risk Managers at MANCOS
- Attending ASISA HF SC Meetings (Quarterly)
- Attending client meetings in CT or in JHB if required to support BD
- Allocate time monthly or quarterly on one-on-one time with Senior Analysts
