FINANCE Head - Tariffs and Operating Budget Compilation
**Requirements**:

- A relevant three year tertiary qualification, preferably a

B.Degree or higher with Financial - or Management
Accounting as a major;
- 5 - 8 years or more relevant Financial Management Experience;
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant local and

national policies, legislation and regulations;
- Proficient knowledge and understanding in the field of

budgetary and financial management;
- Excellent analytical, problem - solving, decision making,

communication and planning skills; and
- Extensive knowledge in MS Office skills and SAP would be

advantageous
Key Performance Areas
- Co-ordinate the compilation of the City’s operating revenue

and expenditure budget and multi-year operating revenue
and expenditure program in terms of legislative requirements.
- Oversee the process for the review and compilation of the

Corporate Tariffs, Fees and Charges Book for incorporation
into the City’s Annual Budget Document.
- Co-ordinate the process to review and compilation of the

Miscellaneous Tariff Policy for inclusion in the City’s Budget
Document and drafting of the City’s Budget advertisement
relating to draft and approved tariff schedules during the
budget process.
- Co-ordinate the process to review and compilation of the

- Co-ordinate and compilation of Monthly, Quarterly and

ad-hoc
legislative reporting requirements relating to the City’s
Operating Budget as prescribed by the Municipal Finance
Management Act as well as other relevant legislation and
Regulations, or required ito Council Policies, Procedures
and Directives.
- Supervise the process on Operating Budget Financial Indicators
