The Company is an aerospace engineering and consulting services company with an extensive network of experts and industrial partners. Our small but highly qualified team of seasoned professionals develops cutting-edge solutions in aerospace, propulsion and systems engineering.

Our core capabilities are Design, Simulation, Assembly, Integration and Testing. We are looking for an IT Support Technician who has a can-do attitude and is able to provide the technical expertise to ensure the continuity of computer system services for the Company. This includes installation, setup and update of networks, hardware and software integration as well as troubleshooting to detect and solve technical problems.

**Responsibilities**
- User / Desktop / Smart Phone support. Assist personnel with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software.
- Microsoft Operating System Support - All Server platforms, Microsoft exchange, active directory, group policy, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V.
- Citrix user and workstation management.
- Microsoft 365 installations, licence management and support.
- WAN and LAN and Server administrative support. (Firewall, Switch, Wifi, Windows Server, etc).
- End point protection analysis, installations, and support.
- Domain hosting, MX records, etc. support.
- Engineering software installation and support with Windows i.e. ANSYS, SOLIDWORKS, GasTurb, MATLAB, etc.
- Accounting software installations and user support i.e., Sage Evolution.
- Install and configure engineering support systems i.e., product development software such as ARAS Innovator.
- Implement and support of backup software and hardware. Backup and recovery support.
- Boardroom displays and projectors support. Support during tele/video meetings. (Teams, Webex, Zoom, etc.).
- IT budgeting, renewals, capacity and replacement planning.
- Recommendations and procurement of IT equipment.
- VoIP systems support.
- Software License management.
- Development of an IT Strategy.

**Requirements**:
Execution of the duties and responsibilities pertaining to the position demands the following experience, skills and knowledge:

- National Diploma in IT with 3-5 years IT systems support experience.
- Windows certified engineer. (Windows server, Windows Desktop, AD, AZURE, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams).
- Microsoft certifications such as MCTS, CCNA, MCITP, MCSE, etc.
- MS SQL server administrator.
- Good development knowledge in JavaScript and C#.
- Networking - Managed Switches Cisco and Aruba, FortiGate Firewall, FortiGate Aps.
- Bitdefender.
- Backup Assist.
- VoIP telephony systems.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
- Dedication to provide an excellent service.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.

**Special working conditions**

Overseas travel to client sites could be required from time-to-time.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Diploma (required)

**Experience**:

- IT: 3 years (required)
