CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Human Resources has a position available for the Head HR Delivery, based in in either Head Office Bellville or Alice Lane Sandton, reporting to the Executive: Human Resources.
Reporting to the Executive Human Resources, the Head HR Business Partners works with Santam leadership and human resources leadership team to co-create the Santam people strategy. Ensures coaching and significant influence of senior leadership, fostering of strategic business partnering, managing and directing the HRBP team's execution capabilities.
Demonstrate sound insight into Santam’s commercial strategy and operations and translating that into an effective people plan.
Ensure that business and people plans are integrated across the Santam Group and that the HR plan is delivered through the team of HR Business Partners.
Key to the success of the role is the ability to develop a strategic partnership with Santam leadership and the HR leadership team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop the HR strategic plan to support the Santam strategic objectives
Cascades the Santam HR strategy by designing business cluster specific HR plans in alignment with the cluster strategies, in partnership with the senior leadership teams and HRBP Leads
Tracks and reports progress on plan to the business
Partner with the HR Centres of Excellence (Reward, Diversity/ER, Talent L&D and OE) to ensure alignment with business needs
Drive talent management
Partner with the Head Talent to develop and implement a talent mobility framework to enable deployment of talent between business units and across boundaries.
Builds leadership competence through coaching and guide leadership around people processes to deliver the People strategy
Identifies the immediate and long term talent issues drive plans to address
Agree suitable strategies to ensure talent pipelines are in place at leadership and technical levels to meet the performance and growth objectives of the business
Partner with Head Talent COE to ensure alignment to the Talent strategy of the Business
Facilitates Organisational Design & Change Management
Play an active role in building a change ready organisation
In partnership with COE’s and HRBP Leads, evaluate and modify all HR processes and practices to align to a changing workforce.
Partner business in implementing an optimal operating model and structure to ensure collaboration, efficiency and a more agile Santam Group.
Drives transformation and change initiatives across the business area and guides the business on the management of risk and the business impact
Ensures effective organisational design process and structures

Culture
Partner Santam leadership in cultivating the cultural attributes of a growth mindset.
Partner leadership to establish and maintain high levels of employee engagement by clarifying the levels of employee engagement and partners with the business to develop action plans to address gaps
Employee Relations
Partner with Head ER and EE to develop and maintain all ER/EE policies and procedures, aligning these with the changing labour law legislation
Ensure policies, structures and procedures are effectively communicated to all, consistently applied and monitored.
Identify and/ or evaluate causes of conflict and propose appropriate corrective action.
Support business in developing their EE plan (including numerical targets and AA actions)
Facilitate the alignment of business strategy and EE plan
Ensure execution of all initiatives in line with the BU EE Plan
Facilitates reward processes
Manages the annual salary review process execution in partnership with total rewards
Identifies need for reward programs and partners with COE to deliver
Leadership Development
Embed ethical leadership principles in how we develop leaders and how they drive business performance.
Drive the execution of the Santam leadership strategic objectives
Support and partner the L&D COE in the delivery of learning and development solutions and programs
Develops and manages key relationships
Lead the effective delivery of a high performing HRBP team, through the development of the individual staff members and ensuring that high standards within the team are developed and maintained
Assessing the HR service delivery in alignment with the needs of the business and engage in regular feedback and monitoring
Participates and integrates with HR leadership team to co-create and implement the Santam HR strategy
Creates and develops a partnership role to line management and to the business
Play a leadership role in coaching and mentoring the HRBP teams QUALIFICATIONS
Postgraduate qualification in Behavioural Sciences/Business Management KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
