Duties/Pligte The meaningful integration of learning technologies in programmes and modules in partnership with faculties. This includes support for quality teaching, learning and assessment (T-L-A) and for the professional development of academics, with a focus on the use of learning technologies in T-L-A (including blended
- and online learning). Duties will include:
- Collaborating with colleagues on Centre and institutional projects;
- Closely cooperating with faculties;
- Providing advice, support and training to lecturers;
- Monitoring, evaluating and research;
- Digital learning and teaching resources design;
- Technical and administrative support relating to projects and training;
- Developing and managing fully online / blended learning modules or programmes of the Centre;
- Focusing on developing and researching the CLT and SU's approach to Open Educational Resources and Practices (OERs and OEPs).

Dit sluit in die ondersteuning vir kwaliteit onderrig, leer en assessering (O-L-A) vir die professionele ontwikkeling van akademici met 'n fokus op die gebruik van leertegnologieë in O-L-A (met inbegrip van gemengdeleer en aanlynleer). - Samewerking met kollegas op Sentrum en institusionele projekte;
- Noue samewerking met fakulteite;
- Voorsiening van advies, ondersteuning en opleiding aan dosente;
- Monitering, evaluering en navorsing;
- Ontwerp digitale leer
- en onderrig-materiaal;
- Tegniese en administratiewe ondersteuning verwant aan projekte en opleiding;
- Die bestuur en ontwikkeling van volledige aanlyn of gemengdeleer modules of programme van die Sentrum;
- Fokus op die ontwikkeling van en navorsing oor die SLT en die US se benadering tot Oop Opvoedkundige Bronne en Praktyke (OERs en OEPs);
- Koördineer die Sentrum se webblad en digitale hulpbronne.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- Master's degree in education, academic development or learning technologies in education;
- Two years' working experience in academic development (e.g., individual digitally-based support or consultation, facilitation of workshops, seminar presentations, etc.) in the South African higher education sector with a focus on the integration of learning technologies in Teaching-Learning-Assessment (e.g., blended learning, online learning, etc.). Here we mean supporting lecturers at tertiary institutions in their duties to integrate learning technologies in their teaching;
- Experience in the design and development of fully online courses;
- Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills in the context of a team;
- Project management experience;
- Proven experience in the design of digital educational content (e.g., videos, SCORMs, podcasts, interactive digital content);Proficiency in relevant software (e.g. LMSs like Moodle, the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe suite, Camtasia, iSpring, etc.);
- Proven scholarly and critical-reflective orientation towards learning technologies (e.g., publications and conference presentations).
- Meestersgraad in opvoedkunde, akademiese ontwikkeling of leertegnologieë in opvoedkunde;
- Twee jaar toepaslike werkservaring in akademiese ontwikkeling (bv., individuele digitaal-gebaseerde ondersteuning of konsultasie, fasilitering van werkswinkels, aanbied van seminare, ens.) in die Suid-Afrikaanse hoëronderwys sektor met die fokus op die integrasie van leertegnologieë in Onderrig-Leer-Assessering (bv., gemengdeleer, aanlynleer, ens.). Hier gaan dit om die ondersteuning van dosente in tersiêre instansies in hulle taak om leertegnologieë in hulle onderrig te integreer;
- Ervaring in die ontwerp en ontwikkeling van volledige aanlyn kursusse;
- Uitstekende mondelinge-, aanbiedings
- en skriftelike kommunikasievaardighede;
- Sterk interpersoonlike vaardighede in die konteks van 'n span;
- Projekbestuur ervaring;
- Bewese ervaring in die ontwerp en gebruik van digitale onderrig en leermateriaal (bv., videos, SCORM, potgooie, interaktiewe digitale materiaal);
- Vaardigheid in toepaslike sagteware (bv., leerderondersteuningsbestuurstelsels soos Moodle, die Microsoft Office pakket, Adobe pakket, Camtasia, iSpring, ens.);
- Bewese navorsings-ondersteunde akademiese en krities-reflektiewe oriëntasie rakende leertegnologieë (bv., publikasies en konferensieaanbiedinge).
- Daar kan ook van die kortlyskandidate verwag word om as deel van die onderhoudsproses 'n assesseringsoefening af te lê wat betrekking het op die vereistes soos in die advertensie uiteengesit is._

- A qualification in academic development, education, or an educational technology field;

- Experience and proficiency in the use and pedagogical support of a Learning Management System as well as other learning technologies;
