National Sales and Marketing Manager

**Role Purpose**
Represent and be a strong contributing team member within the Agricultural Chemical Sales Team and supporting functions to achieve profitable growth and create an industry leading and sustainable position for the company. Utilize sales, marketing, and technical skills, to facilitate the establishment and growth of the company. This is a manufacturers’ role, selling through the existing distribution network, and growing the network.
**Main Tasks**
- Support existing retail and distributor sales network in the management, sales, marketing and technical support of the product line
- Establishing and maintaining relationship with distribution partners' sales representatives and expanding sales opportunities
- Drive communication (internal and external) within organization and through distribution partners in seamless fashion to deliver agreed upon strategies
- Create demand at the customer level, ensuring that the customer is knowledgeable about our products and has further interest in offered solutions
- Act as a steward of the agricultural chemical portfolio by making recommendations and by managing complaints/issues in the field as needed
- Manage field trials
- Manage all new and existing product registrations with the Department of Agriculture
- Achieve sales, profit, and market share targets
- Develop a profound understanding of customer needs via consultative selling, recognized expertise, and trust with customers, within assigned market area
- Regularly collect and report market intelligence and relevant value chain insights
- Accurate forecasting for distributors within territories
- Actively engage with our channel partners to assist with their ability to connect with growers more effectively in delivering solutions
**Skills, Experience & Qualifications**
- Prior experience in Sales of Crop Protection products will be essential to the success of this position (minimum of 4 years in industry)
- AVCASA qualification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Technical minded with acute level of accuracy
- Knowledge of agricultural chemical wholesale and retail distribution networks
- Understanding of general plant pathology concepts or field scouting experience
- Motivated, innovative thinking, entrepreneurial character and goal driven
- Identifying, developing, and closing of new business opportunities
- Strategic planning and forecasting
- Focused on customer satisfaction
- Strong personal drive and committed personality
