**Purpose of the Job**:
To represent and provide first line of support and contact between the line and central Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) through implementing and managing HSEQ management systems to ensure compliance to HSEQ related regulations and manage & control risks.

**What You Have Done Before**:
- NQF Level 7 (Degree in Engineering/ Risk Management/ Science/ Operations Safety)
- 5 years experience in HSEQ Management Systems (OHSAS 18001 or similar)
- Advantageous- 5 years experience in Oil & Gas industry

**What You Will Be Doing**:
**HSEQ STRATEGIC PLAN**
- Implement and communicate HSEQ Strategic Plans through conducting onboarding, training and coaching sessions to ensure objectives are met as per applicable plans
**RISK ASSESSMENT & MANAGEMENT**
- Review risks associated with business activities and audits through facilitation and alignment with management, including assistance with development and closure of the findings to ensure compliance and risk mitigation & control.
**POLICY & PROCEDURE COMPLIANCE**
- Ensure compliance to HSEQ policies by providing support and assistance to the business in understanding HSEQ management system, attending & presenting at key quarterly and annually meetings and facilitation during the onboarding processes in order to ensure that the organization meets its objectives
**INCIDENT INVESTIGATION**
- Lead, advise and partake in incident investigations and closure of actions to ensure compliance with HSEQ related policies and procedures
**CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT**
- Conduct safety pre-qualification assessment for high and high to high risk contractors by assisting with HSEQ requirements in the development of scope of work for relevant contractors, conducting HSEQ training of contractors and assisting contract owners in conducting contractor audits to ensure compliance with HSEQ related policies and procedures.
**NETWORKING AND RELATIONSHIP BUILDING**
- Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players and service providers to keep abreast with latest development to capture new business opportunities.
**LEADERSHIP AND CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT**
- Drive the development of competent working team that will enhance and sustain staff capabilities in achieving high performance delivery to ensure internalization of the right leadership and capabilities in executing their jobs
