**Job Advert Summary**:
**PURPOSE**:
- To support the development of Exxaro’s internal and external comprehensive corporate events strategy.
- Support the Corporate Events Lead in implementing the Exxaro’s executive management team's comprehensive corporate events strategy, aligned with our Sustainable Growth and Impact strategy, culture, and enhancing Exxaro's brand image.
- Contribute to creating memorable and impactful experiences that contribute to the overall success of Exxaro.
- Ensure alignment and integration of corporate events with the group corporate affairs strategy, supporting the Corporate Event’s Lead in coordinating multiple moving parts under pressure using project management principles and addressing spontaneous changes or obstacles with mínimal disruption.
- Help empower teams to contribute effectively to value creation.
**MAJOR CHALLENGES**:
- Efficiently manage supply chain processes and budgets for events, ensuring cost-effectiveness, local community empowerment and optimal resource allocation.
- Collaborate with internal departments, external and local vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Navigate unforeseen challenges and make real-time decisions to ensure the success of events.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, high profile event regulations/protocols and incorporate innovative ideas to enhance the quality of corporate events.
- Be mindful of multiple stakeholder interests and integrate feedback at discretion/ responsibly - to ensure successful and purpose driven events management.
- Ensuring maintenance and enhancement of Exxaro’s reputation through corporate events.

- National Diploma (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate First Line Management (Essential/Minimum)
**EXPERIENCE**:
5 years Relevant experience in corporate event planning and management. Successfully organising and executing a variety of events, from small meetings to large-scale conferences. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage event logistics efficiently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities (Essential/Minimum) Operational

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Compliance, Governance and Assurance**
- Adhere to sound corporate governance principles and address discrepancies.
- Ensuring compliance with Exxaro’s policies and regulations and maintaining ethical standards.
- Ensure that event venues and suppliers meet all relevant laws and regulations requirements.
- Ensure that insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations are followed during the events.
- Stay abreast of high-profile event regulations/protocols applicable for high profile corporate events.
**Corporate Events**
- Plan, coordinate, and execute dynamic and engaging internal and external promotional, business and social events (e.g., conferences, seminars etc.) seamlessly, to drive Exxaro’s strategy and culture.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute dynamic and engaging corporate events to drive organisational strategy and culture, ensuring alignment with Exxaro's brand identity, culture, values, and messaging.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive corporate event plans that align with the organisation’s strategic objectives and the overall Corporate Affairs strategy.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Sustainable Impact, Strategy and Growth) and maintain open communication with senior management to ensure successful execution of events.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution and effective resource allocation.
- Ensure integration and alignment within the Investor Relations and Liaison team, functional and operational areas, and Business Units (BUs).
- Align and collaborate planning within the corporate affairs team to publicise and promote events and key messaging.
- Align with internal teams to understand their precise requirements for the event.
- Generate innovative event concepts and themes that reinforce the brand's positioning and resonate with the target audience.
- Oversee the design and production of branded materials, signage, and décor elements to create a cohesive and impactful event experience.
- Keep track of external strategic events that support the enhancement of our brand.
- Identify and manage Corporate Events risks.
**Functional Excellence**
- Developing and maintaining Exxaro’s brand identity and digital presence across all platforms.
