**Job Advert Summary**:
**PURPOSE**:

- To develop Exxaro’s internal and external comprehensive corporate events strategy.
- To support Exxaro’s Executive Management team in implementing a comprehensive corporate events strategy, in alignment with our Sustainable Growth and Impact (SG&I) strategy, culture and enhance Exxaro's brand image.
- Responsible for creating memorable and impactful experiences that contribute to the overall success of Exxaro.
- Ensure integration and alignment of corporate events to the group Corporate Affairs strategy.
- To empower teams to contribute effectively to value creation.

**MAJOR CHALLENGES**:

- Efficiently manage supply chain processes and budgets for events, ensuring cost-effectiveness, local community empowerment and optimal resource allocation.
- Collaborate with internal departments, external and local vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Navigate unforeseen challenges and make real-time decisions to ensure the success of events.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, high profile event regulations/protocols and incorporate innovative ideas to enhance the quality of corporate events.
- Manage/ guide multiple stakeholder interests.
- Ensure maintenance and enhancement of Exxaro’s reputation through corporate events.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- B Degree (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
- Management Development Programme (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate Project Management (Recommended/Desirable)

**EXPERIENCE**:
8 years Relevant experience in in Corporate event planning and management. Successfully organising and executing a variety of events, from small meetings to large-scale conferences. Negotiating and managing contracts with vendors and venues and budget management. Demonstrated ability in integrating cross-functional inputs into a unified strategy. Strong track record in project and change management. (Essential/Minimum) Management

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Compliance, Governance and Assurance**
- Adhere to sound corporate governance principles and address discrepancies.
- Ensuring compliance with Exxaro’s policies and regulations and maintaining ethical standards.
- Ensure that event venues and suppliers meet all relevant laws and regulations requirements.
- Ensure that insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations are followed during the events.
- Stay abreast of high-profile event regulations/protocols applicable for high profile corporate events

**Corporate Events**

**Corporate Events**
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing dynamic and engaging internal and external promotional, business and social events (e.g., conferences, seminars) seamlessly, to drive Exxaro’s strategy and culture.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute dynamic and engaging corporate events to drive organisational strategy and culture, ensuring alignment with Exxaro’s brand identity, culture, values, and messaging.
- Develop and implement comprehensive corporate event plans that align with the organisation’s strategic objectives and the overall Corporate Affairs strategy.
- Building and nurturing relationships with suppliers and service providers for a strong base network and sourcing list on various projects or events
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Sustainable Impact, Strategy and Growth) and maintain open communication with senior management to ensure successful execution of events.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution and effective resource allocation.
- Ensure integration and alignment within the Investor Relations and Liaison team, functional and operational areas and Business Units (BUs).
- Align and collaborate planning within the corporate affairs team to publicise and promote events and key messaging.
- Align with internal teams to understand their precise requirements for the event.
- Generate innovative event concepts and themes that reinforce the brand's positioning and resonate with the target audience.
- Oversee the design and production of branded materials, signage, and décor elements to create a cohesive and impactful event experience in alignment to our leaderships vision.
- Keep track of external strategic events that support the enhancement of our brand.
