Sales Invoice Clerk

We are looking for a diligent and mature sales invoice clerk to join our organization.
The invoice clerk’s duties include updating clients’ details, creating and sending invoices to clients, tracking payments, and reporting irregularities to the financial manager. You should also be able to resolve billing errors professionally. You will need to ensure that accounts balance, manage accounts to recover outstanding debts, and fix billing discrepancies. An invoice clerk should have a strong work ethic and demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that client information details are kept up to date.
- Creating and sending invoices.
- Checking the data input to ensure the accuracy of the final bill.
- Tracking payments and ensuring that the cash flow into the company.
- Reporting issues or irregularities to the general manager of the company.
- Fixing billing errors by issuing debit and credit memos.
- Liaising with the logistics department and ensuring that goods are dispatched on time.
- Recovering outstanding debts.
- Handling clients' account queries.
- Initiating new procedures for billing.
- Preparing reports
- Preparing invoices and other documents required by state laws for taxable purchases
- Process of quotations
- Update monthly price letters on pastel
- Administrative tasks on the competition of sales
- Prepare export documents
- Maintaining and increasing our customer base
- Ensure all company procedures are followed through
- Follow up on stock availability as well as inter-company
**Requirements**:
- Quick learner with a passion for Sales
- Pastel knowledge and experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent verbal communication skills

Desired experience and qualification:
- At least 3-4 years of office or sales administration experience.
- At least 4 years of pastel experience (preferably Pastel Evolution)
- Certification in accounting and/or business management is preferred.
- Experience as an invoice clerk or in general accounting is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and working knowledge of accounting software.
**Job Type**: Permanent
**Salary**: R6,000.00 - R10,000.00 per month
