**Requirements**:
- Matric.
- At least 1 years’ experience in a technical role.
- Technical aptitude is a MUST.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Seeking opportunities in the automation industry.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Purchasing**: Source, negotiate, and purchase machine components required for automated machines while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- **Supplier Interaction**: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers. Communicate product requirements, quality standards, and delivery schedules. Resolve supply-related issues promptly.
- **Reading Mechanical Drawings**: Interpret and understand mechanical drawings and specifications to accurately identify the components needed.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor and manage inventory levels of machine components. Place orders promptly to prevent shortages and maintain an efficient workflow.
- **Quality Inspection**: Perform inspections on received machine components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications outlined in mechanical drawings.
- **Cost Analysis**: Assist in evaluating supplier quotes, comparing prices, and negotiating favourable terms to optimize procurement costs.
- **Documentation**: Maintain detailed records of purchases, supplier agreements, and inventory levels. Keep accurate logs and documentation of all transactions.
- **Communication**: Collaborate with various departments, including engineering and production, to align purchasing with project requirements and timelines.
- **Market Research**: Stay updated on industry trends, product advancements, and new suppliers to make informed purchasing decisions.
- **Cost Tracking**: Monitor and report on cost savings, delivery times, and quality improvements achieved through effective procurement practices.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the procurement process.
- **Administrative Tasks**: Handle administrative tasks related to procurement, such as generating purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining documentation.
