Assistant Director: Stakeholder Management

**Job Purpose**: The Department of Human Settlements, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for two (2) dynamic individuals to optimise relations with human settlement stakeholders. These contract positions are based in Cape Town-CBD.
**Minimum Requirements**: An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in a Stakeholder Management working environment; A valid code B (or higher) driving license. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
**Recommendation**: Extensive working knowledge and experience of the following: Development of a departmental-wide stakeholder management strategy; Media liaising; The latest trends in communication products; Dispute and conflict resolution; Willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.
**Key Performance Areas**: Establish relationships with key clients and business influences in the local communities; Contribute to the development of a departmental-wide stakeholder management strategy; Execute stakeholder management research, analyze information and compile complex documents, reports and submissions for the Department; Provide advice to senior management of the Department and the Minister in terms of conflict situations; Provide logístical support in terms of project profiling
**Competencies**: Knowledge of the following: Relevant legislation, acts, policies, codes, guidelines, standards, best practices, procedures, strategies and protocols relating to Human Settlements; Stakeholder Management procedures and processes in the department; Dispute, conflict resolution and problem-solving management; Skills needed: Computer literacy (MS Office); Communication (written and verbal); Time management, Planning; Organising; Networking; Conceptual; Interpretative; Formulation and Research. Ability to: Work under pressure; Be innovative; Committed; Assertive and Diplomatic.
**Remuneration**:
R 382 245 per annum (Salary level 9)
