**Introduction**

Velocity Club is looking for an experienced, innovative and dynamic financial planner that wants to take their career to the next level. Momentum Velocity Club is an unique and exciting initiative responsible for new generation face-to-face financial planning.

**Role Purpose**

To manage a team of advice analysts in VC Advice Hub in order to support the Client Success Consultants to ensure delivery of a unique client value proposition by providing an excellent client experience, high quality, actionable and best-of-breed financial plans and solutions.

**Requirements**:

- 3 years business-related degree or equivalent NQF, or other analytic degree with relevant financial industry experience
- RE5 qualification (required)
- Certified Financial Planner (advantageous) with the following licensed FAIS categories:

1. Long-term insurance: Category A
- 3 Long-term insurance: Category B1
- 4 Long-term insurance: Category C
- 20 Long-term insurance: Category B2
- 21 Long-term insurance: Category B2-A
- 22 Long-term insurance: Category B1-A
- 26 Participatory interest in a hedge fund
- 5 Retail pension benefits
- 7 Pension Fund benefits
- 14 Participatory interests in a collective investment scheme
- 16 Health Service Benefits
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the financial planning industry (required)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar team leader role (required)
- Experience with FNA software (required)
- Experience and in depth knowledge of MMI products (advantageous)
- Advisor code (advantageous)

- Knowledge of the financial planning services industry
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
- Relevant product and process knowledge (Class of Business knowledge)
- Knowledge of the advice process and cycle
- Potential and interest to work towards FAIS Supervisor role for team (advice oversight for team).

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Internal controls:

- Responsible to ensure advice analysts are provided with the necessary training and tools for analysing and processing our clients’ financial information and life goals and translate this into an practical and executable financial plan.
- Do research to help refine and develop the Velocity Club Advice Hub House view over time as business and client needs changes.
- Ensure that the correct product solutions, where relevant and needed, across a broad spectrum of regulated products offered by the MMI Group, are understood and appropriately recommended and implemented in the financial plans.
- Ensuring financial plans are developed using guidelines of the VC house view.
- Ensuring all financial plans and advice instances are adherent to existing regulatory, legal and compliance procedures.
- Develop and maintain all financial planning and other analytics templates and internal tools.
- Support CSCs to effectively narrate and convey the VC House View and personalized financial advice as contained in the financial plans.
- Ensuring top quality of advice all around.
- Develop plans to achieve advice instances/production in line with business expectations.
- Manage the adherence to operational processes, policies, compliance and legislative requirements.
- Ensure the Advice Hub team and CSCs are kept up to date with technical knowledge regarding products and advice processes.
- Ensure that the Advice Hub is independent, non-judgmental and objective in developing a financial plan for a client by truly understanding their financial world, needs and goals.
- Develop action plans and initiatives to drive productivity, motivate team and improve productivity.
- Contribute to continuous innovation through the development, sharing and implementation of new ideas
- Take ownership for driving own career development, regulatory adherence and ethics
- Have in depth knowledge of all products and solutions available in developing a financial plan
- Assist in creating a collaborative environment within VC where everyone learns from each other by sharing new ideas and knowledge that ultimately results in clients receiving best-of-breed advice
- Continuously developing own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation knowledge. Be open to learning continuously to stay abreast of the latest financial thinking.
- Develop and Implement action plans to achieve business goals.
- Communicate and implement approved team targets within area of responsibility.
- Effectively manage all day-to-day team activities and escalations.
- Regularly assess team members' performance against productivity targets and implement actions to increase performance and productivity.
- Contribute to the building of the Advice Hub through identifying opportunities to enable the VC growth strategy, this includes managing new initiatives or projects within the team and identifying best practice on quality advice.
