**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**
- To ensure that all of our employees are remunerated on time, accurately and within their contractual agreements
- To process a small portion of our payroll for one of our subsidiary companies
- To be the go-to person for all payroll queries

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Relevant payroll qualification and or Certification
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role

**BEHAVIOURAL & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES**
- Intricate and deep understanding of the VIP payroll system
- Understanding of the Accsys payroll system
- Advanced excel skills ie. Vlookups, Pivot Tables (Not negotiable)
- Extreme attention to detail
- Ability to work under immense pressure given the tight timeframes specified
- Ability to communicate difficult information to employees, particularly where it may provoke an emotional response
- Ability to manage strict deadlines for payroll
- To provide an efficient and friendly service to all relevant parties and to undertake all associated duties in line with expected professional standards

**ROLE DESCRIPTION**
- Prepare **monthly payroll file** within specified timeframes, including but not limited to:

- Capturing new employees on VIP and loading the contracted remuneration as per their employment contracts
- Terminating resigned employees, obtain approval on leave accrued for pay out, processing of any claw backs
- Capturing all salary adjustments for the month
- Collecting from relevant persons within the organisation duly approved commission calculations
- Calculating maternity leave within parameters of employee benefits policy
- Reviewing all expense claims/allowances received to ensure company policy has been applied, capturing all such claims to the payroll system accurately and completely
- Calculation of leave days’ due
- Distributing **payslips** monthly
- Preparing of **new employee** contracts, appointment letters, accurate mock payslips as requested by appointing managers
- Understanding all terms and conditions of employment contract variations within theorganisation
