**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**:
The main purpose of the position is to ensure that import and export of goods and services runs smooth and to perform the necessary administration for the purposes of adequate records as required in terms of the Company’s Quality Assurance Policy.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Matric
- National Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain and / or Logistics Management
- 2 to 3 years Logistics experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with the QAD system an advantage
- Must be prepared to work extra hours as determined by operational requirements of the business
- Ability to work in a pressurized environment with mínimal supervision
- Report writing skills
- Telephone etiquette
- Interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Quality procedures, Environmental and Safety rules / Legislation - (ISO9001, 14001 and 45001). BSI Experience an added advantage.

**MAIN DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Accurate verification & receipting of all deliveries onto QAD.
- Making sure all deliveries received are receipted with either the delivery notes or invoice in the month items are received.
- Ensure international suppliers complete material production on the promised date and bookings are done on time with freight forwarders to avoid production delays.
- Co-ordinate & manage the freight forwarders
- Delivery of material must be communicated with quality department for material to be inspected before loaded on racks.
- Liaise with production planner and materials manager on late deliveries.
- Ensure materials delivery calendar is updated daily against the freight forwarders status report.
- Raise and expedite approval of requisitions for freight and forwarding on the QAD system
- Track Supplier Lead Times and performance to ensure timeous supply of materials and consumables
- Keep accurate records of all goods received - both manually and electronically
- Ensure that Purchase Orders are placed timeously for freight and couriers
- Work together with Finance to ensure alignment
- Prepare paperwork for invoice verification
- Raise RFQ’s and issue air traffic notifications
- Prepare MUV reports for both bearings and valves twice a week and daily towards month end
- Track consignments and prepare instructions for customs clearance
- Co-ordinate the transportation of items and documents via the courier services of record to various destinations. This includes import & export.
- Conduct weekly stock takes of consumables at receiving stores and ensure requisitions are raised to replenish stock.
- Assist with periodic stock takes and cycle counts and report discrepancies
- Provide statistical data and supply chain trends to the Materials / Logistics Manager for the compilation of Monthly Progress Reports
- Keep constant communication with the Materials / Logistics Manager, the Logistics teammates and all other stakeholders
- Undertake Supply Chain projects and allocated from time to time
- Deal with and resolve all supply related queries as they may emerge from time to time
- Practice 5S and comply with all safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties
- Ensure that the Company’s trade secrets as it relates to the scope of work is not divulged to third parties - (POPI Act)
